Groups, Leads and Members

Our Cloud Stories allows anyone to easily create and lead a completely private & secure website for a family or a group. That person will become the website's Lead.

The Lead may then invite any number of people to join his Group. Once accepted, these invitees become the group's Members.

Members may accept invitations to join any number of OCS Groups. Members are encouraged to share their contact information with other members of the group(s) they subscribe to by keeping their profile up-to-date. A group's members are listed in the Member's Directory.

Stories

Leads and Members may create Stories to share with the group(s) they subscribe to. Stories are simply sequences of photos and/or text.

Story authors (leads and members) may keep any number of stories in progress before publishing them. Once complete, a story's author may select which of his / her groups he would like to Publish the story to.

When an author publishes a story, it becomes News for each of the group(s) he published it to. He / she may optionally have automatic email advice sent to the selected group(s) members.

Archives

Leads may set up a hierarchical folder structure in his / her site's Archives in which to keep older stories which are no longer News.

When appropriate, the Lead can move a story from News to any Archive folder. Archived stories are automatically indexed and may be searched in a variety of ways.
